My son was born 2 months preemie due to Preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome and I felt I needed to do something for him for what we both went through especially seeing I probably won't have anymore children due to my high risk of getting the same complications again and there being a high risk of either baby or both not making it if I ever do have more children. I have his feet over my heart because no matter what he will always be in my heart. It is his footprints from when he was only one month old with his name above and his birthday below. I am soon going to be getting a third and the two I have mean a lot to me and the third will also. I love your new tattoo!! I do have a tattoo well actually I have two.
(I love any excuse to talk about my tattoo lol can you tell?) I would love to show you a pic, but I don't like to publish it anywhere on the net (I designed it so I selfishly don't want anyone to copy it lol)įor my next tattoo I want to have 'When you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.' on my foot/feet in some kind of script.
Silly as that may sound, it was right for me. I was raped over 4 years ago now and I got the tattoo as a way of making my body my own again. Five petal flowers also represent the 5 stages of womanhood: birth, menstruation, motherhood, menopause and death. I drew it myself, the tattoo artist changed some things up to make it right, and I LOVE it, had it for 18 months.įrangipani flowers (or plumerias) have 5 petals, and represent the 5 qualities necessary for psychological perfection: sincerity, faith, aspiration, devotion and surrender. My tattoo is of 5 frangipani flowers on an abstract sort of vine design of twisting lines. The ribs is the sorest place, isn't it! : ) I think mine took 5-6 hours, but I enjoyed the pain kind of, some kind of right of passage thing maybe. I have a tattoo in the same place, but on the other side.
It's a really lovely tattoo! Now you'll always have her by your side. There's nothing worse than tattoos off the wall in my opinion. Love it! I love to see peoples tattoos that have meaning to them.
